This year's Colorado Shred Symposium promises to be sick as usual--just look at our banner (thanks to Chris Holden). We're at the same venue this year, in the heart of
downtown Denver. We've got cheap (monetary-wise) suites this year, with free breakfast, plus a bunch of other perks (official hotel info will be up early next week hopefully).
Our confirmed players list includes, but is not limited to, Lon Smithicus, Jim "Pimpske" Penske,
footbag legend Peter Irish, Daryl "Genzu Blades" Genz, Ken "I-was-invited-to-BAP-like-eight-times-and-declined-every-time" Somolinos, "The Big Add" Chad Devlahovich, and
unknown-but-sick-as-hell David Clavens coming all the way out from Pennsylvania.

So come check us out. You'll have a great time, or your money back.

I LOVE Shred Symposiums, CSS2 was the first major tournament I ever
attended, and I haven't missed one since. They're consistantly one of the best
weekends I have every year along with Chicago's New Year's Jam. I can
definitely say without any hesitation that when it comes to traveling to
tournaments, Shred Symposium takes precedence, if I find I have money left
over I might try to make it to Worlds too.

Mad props to David Clavens for being the 3rd person ever to win a CSS (all of the other have been either Lon Smith or Ryan Mulroney). Huge thanks to Sam's No. 3 for hooking us up with tons of coupons and dee-licious food, and Breckenridge Brewery for hosting our Friday night players/registration party. We had some great ammenities for absolutely no cost. The Embassy Suites Hotel were AWESOME; everybody loved them. The rooms were great, the hotel was super nice, we had a sweet shred space and a great hot tub. Amazing. Also, Ready, Willing & Able screen printing experts, for being super nice, and doing an amazing job on the t-shirts at such a short notice.
Also, mega thanks to the following members of the footbag community....
My dad, Joel Barnes, for being super supportive, and fronting me the money for the t-shirts and letting me pay him back.
BRAD KAPLAN, for paying for the venue in its entirety, and not even asking to be paid back. Also for driving everyone everywhere.
Mike Hansen, for helping set up registration, hosting the website, letting me stay in his room, and just being an all-around generous dude.
Steve Goldberg for providing the resource that is footbag.org, and coming and hanging out and stuff.
Julie Symons and the IFPA for providing sanctioning and sponsorship opportunities.
Jim Penske, Chad Devlahovich, and Mike Hansen for helping to judge and score shred 30's.
Marco Hartig, Pengpeng Du, Richard Abshire, and James Hermey for donating their bags for prizes.
Everybody who came! Mad props.
More Later.
