To continue an new East Coast tradition, all are invited to DC for a
weekend of footbag fun on October 21st and 22nd. It will be an informal
gathering of mostly East Coast kickers. It's not a tournament so there are
no fees involved. Plus, this will be a welcoming event for the DC area's
newest kicker, Amy Noller!
Event Details:
Contact Jeff Bowling or Vince Bradley to let us know you are coming so
we can figure out where you can crash (Jeff's house, Jason & Ann's
house, and Neil's place). We are all spread out around the DC
metropolitan area either in the city itself or its surrounding suburbs in MD
and VA. Unlike Bob Riefer, none of us have the luxury of having a soccer
field in our backyard so we will be kicking on the campus of the University
of Maryland where there's lots of space and parking is plentiful.
The plan...
- You may come as early Friday night.
- Saturday: Starting around NOON, we kick all day (net and freestyle).
We tried to get a badminton gym for indoor net in case the weather does
not cooperate but could not so be prepared to play outside. For the
freestylers, there are plenty of indoor spaces on UMD's campus.
- Saturday night: Party at my place - time TBA. Maybe a group
dinner/cookout at beforehand.
- Sunday: Starting around NOON, we kick (net and freestyle) all day until
you have to return home.
