We had a great weekend despite a deluge of rainfall on Saturday that was
reminiscent of past Chico tournaments. Thanks to all the Open singles
players who played hard all day and got us through to finals by the end of
the day. Sunday blessed us with sunshine and more fun and great play. We
had 75 competitors total, 20 novice players, and 13 women. Players
represented Vancouver and Montreal Canada, Washington, Oregon, California,
Montana, and Arizona.
We had T.V. coverage Saturday and announcements over the radio. The U of O
school paper will be doing an article also.
Thanks to our sponsors for donating enough prizes for EVERYONE...

I'd like to recognize the U of O and Free F.L.O.E Club members that made
this event happen. Doug, Christy, Brandon, Iain, Will, Ben, Forest, Tyler,
Mike, Dennis, Jim, Charlie, Eric, Chris, Cory, Lee, and Emit.
Thanks also to many others who helped out including: Kendall, Andy, Brent,
Julie, Animal, Rachel, Sheila, david, and Sound Footwork for bringing nets,
and those who judged finals matches.
Hope everyone had a great time. Thanks for coming and we hope to see you
again for our September event the Eugene Celebration (9/20-21).
If you want floor space, call or e-mail us in advance. There are several reasonably priced motel/hotel rates within 1/2 mile to the site and even closer to restaurants (see below). Eugene is also a very bicycle-friendly city.
This is the second annual University of Oregon Footbag Tournament. It will be held outside
on
the campus of the U of O, which is conveniently located. We will probably arrange for
lunches
to be delivered to the site. A trainer with ice, tape, and first aid equipment will be on
site. Dress
for both rain and sun. We've been blessed with beautiful weather the past two years,
though it's
still April shower time in the Northwet. If you want floor space call or e-mail us in
advance.
