The
Houston Skyliners Footbag Club presents the Space City
Jam 2004,
in conjunction with the Westheimer Street Festival & the
Texas
Footbag League.
This
will be a freestyle tournament hosted in the middle of Houston's
biggest annual
festival, with 20k - 50k people expected to show up. It's going to be a
fun,
relaxed tournament, designed mostly around just hangin out,
shredding, and
having a good time at the festival. Freestylers from all over Texas are
expected to show up. Everyone is welcome to attend / compete. The center of the Westheimer
Street Festival
is at Westheimer and Montrose.
Here's a
map. But people are not advised to just
drive
there and look for a place to park.

Prize money event. [IFPA
Sanctioned].
Registration: Open: $25 Intermediate: $15 Novice: FREE Online payment is disabled. Pay in cash at check-in. Registration for open and intermediate includes a t-shirt, a Freedom footbag [while they last], and a chance to win cash or prizes. Extra t-shirts are $12. Non-IFPA members who want to compete in the open division will be required to register with IFPA for atleast a year, which costs only $10. What to bring: Bring a folding chair if you have one. Also think about bringing a cooler with some drinks. I can transport these items to the site before the festival gets started. Once it does, you won't be able to park within a short walking distance. Maybe consider bringing a bike, if you would rather ride it than take the bus from your car to the site. I don't know how bad parking is going to be, so check the website [www.westheimerfestival.com]. Let me know if you need a place to crash, whether you're looking for a hotel or a couch / floor. Either way, I'm sure we can accommodate you. Friday night we're meeting at Dallas' high-rise apartment building in downtown to check in / register / hangout / shred.
