The Steel City Open was a huge success. Lots of fun was had and lots of people
came out. We raised a boat load of cash to donate to the IFPA. Here are the
results from the competition.

Intermediate Big3:
1st: Danny Iachini (Quantum Legover>Atomic Legover>Legbeater)
2nd: Danny Greer (Smear>Double Around the World>Butterfly)
3rd: Nick Miller (Smear>Butterfly>DLO)

Open Big3:
Just don't ask

Intermediate Shred30:
1st: Danny Iachini
2nd: Danny Greer
3rd: Nick Miller

Open Shred30:
1st: Brad Nelson
2nd: Caleb Abraham
3rd: Josh Benham

The competition was only one round, unlike we originally planned. We had some
trouble with a time spot on the main stage Sunday but everyone was having way
too much fun shredding on the street to care. Brad Nelson was going NUTS!
Trying big tricks and huge combos. I'm not sure if he hit it but he was
definitely close to Gauntlet. Jake Milofsky was staying strong with his super
smooth style all day. The Erie crew came out for some kicks and even hiked
along side Bill Hamilton a good 6 blocks from the tournament site just to play
some net. Props to Danny Greer from that crew for improving so much. Big ups
to the Philly crew for coming all three days, you guys are the best. Josh
Benham is hitting both side blurs like it's his job these days, look out. And
John Mahood made me laugh all weekend. Everyone missed out on spaghetti dinner
because he ate it all within a blink of an eye. Cranberry represented with
Danny Iachini and Matt Park who showed that they have been skooling like crazy
as well.

Crowds were huge, and they didn't faulter all day. The "ooh"s and "Ahh"s were
so common they were almost annoying.........naa, no they weren't. Our show on
the main stage brought in the biggest crowd all weekend. The crowd ran out of
chairs!

None of this could've happened without the help of our sponsers Freedom
Footbags and World Footbag Association. And Bob Riefer as always was helpful
to say the least, though he was missing in action.

Lastly I'd like to thank the booth babes: Sarah Boe, Laura Figley, My Mom, Sara
Ohi, and Mrs. Iachini. You guys helped out the most and I am grateful. Thanks
to everyone who came and be sure to come back next year.

Nationality Days is a street festival that attracts hundreds of people daily, and this tournament is right in the middle of the action. Come show your stuff to the masses and have a great time among all the shredders. Freestyle, four square, and circle kicking galore!!!
Event Details:
The venue is located at the intersection of 7th and Merchant.

We also now have media coverage. A local radio station is conveniently
broadcasting from a booth right next to ours. Footbag will now be one of the
main attractions. Not to mention we also have the local newspaper writing in
an article about the event. Crowds will be no less than perfect.
