Announcing..... Da Da Dum The 2002 May Long Week End Hack Festival at Minawakaw Beach, Candle Lake, Saskatchewan!!! May 16, 17, 18, 19, 20. 2002. With so much anticipated this year for the Festival and Competition, planners are buzzing with an air of excitement. "We are going to have many hackers [footbag artists] attent this year," said host club PACHC co- founder James Kolby. "From all over the world, people will come to this place to do what it is that we all have a common love for, the hack of the sack." Kolby was recently quoted at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the openning of a new play ground and swing-set at Minawakaw Beach,``I hope that the residents of the community understand that we`re trying to give something back. We feel quite a bit of resentment from the locals, some of them think we`re here to simply party and trash their campgrounds on the week-ends, but that`s not true, and that attitude is changing. Our club has funded the Beach-Park project, giving something back to the economy of Minawakaw as well as to the people.``

Head North East of PrinceAlbert on Hwy 55...   You pass through a 
couple towns up there in the bush, but the path 'll be well beaten 
because 
the 
long weekend gets pretty crazy and busy up at the lake.    Head north off 
55 at Meath Park...  to beautiful Candle Lake..  Minawakaw Beach is 13 
kms north from the main town.     There's a camp ground there that runs 
power and hot showers for $7 a nite, tent not included...  but speaking of 
lodgings we are promoting a business at Minawakaw...  Joe's Cabins is 
the official sponsor of the event so hurry up and get your cabin cheap 
like 
borschte....   theyre probably all gone already.  Theres plenty more 
cabins and campsites at other beaches, youll just have to drive in 
through 
the hustle and grind.  But it`s always a fun time for the whole family 
during 
the day,  but lock your daughters away when the sun goes down, cause
