The 15th Annual Midwest Footbag Championships will be held Sept. 25-26, '99 at 
Meadows Park in Mt. Prospect, IL... a suburb of Chicago.

The typical time of the year for this event is the 2nd week of June, but due 
to World Championships in Chicago this year, we postponed '99 regionals until 
September.  Be prepared for next years regionals to take place in early June 
with plenty of advance warning.  Be aware that Chicago is also hosting the new 
event: "US Open Footbag Freestyle Championships" in the spring of 2000 which 
is a major freestyle-only prize money event that will hopefully be held at our 
world famous Navy Pier.  On yet another note, footbag freestyle classes will 
be held on Sundays from 1-4 at RecPlexx all winter long starting October 5th 
and continuing weekly (sans holidays) through April... email me for more info 
on any of the above items.

Events include all aspects of competitive footbag, mens and womens 
categories... novice, intermediate and professional divisions.  Singles and 
doubles footbag net, singles and doubles footbag freestyle, timed consecutives 
and plenty of footbag golf.

The focus of this years Midwest Regional Championships will be to enlighten 
the area youth to the benefits of the sport of footbag, and to bring up a new 
crop of players.  Prize money will be paid in all net and freestyle pro 
events.  Prizes and certificates for all novice and intermediate entrants.

UPN's "Up 'n Running", a nationally syndicated morning show aimed at children 
will be filming for four hours during the event, probably Saturday afternoon.
