Finnish Footbag Association proudly presents; 3nd Annual Finnish Footbag Open Championships 1999 will be held in Downtown Helsinki, August 28th & 29th. This tournament features the best players in Freestyle and Net in Europe. Events: Freestyle Singles net Doubles net Intermediate Freestyle Intermediate singles net Intermediate doubles net Entry fee: 50 marks = 10 $ (includes a tournament t-shirt) Tournament schedule: Saturday August 28th: 11:00 Players meeting & warm-up 12:00 Net Preliminarys begin and are played until finals Sunday August 29th, 12:00 Freestyle Preliminarys 16:00 Net & Freestyle Finals (& shred contest) Lodgin: There is a real convenient and cheap place to stay at the Finnish Olympic Stadium, which is right beside the finals site in Downtown Helsinki. It is a very much used as a residence for the international competitors at the other sports events held in Finland. They have rooms for two people, four people and group rooms for 5-9 people. Prices are: 85 marks = 15 $ a night for person in the room for two 75 marks = 13 $ a night for person in the room for four 60 marks = 11 $ a night for person in the room for 5-9 people You pay extra 3 $ to have clean sheets for all the time you are there, it is worth it, I don't think you should try to bring your own. BTW, for some reason they don't allow sleeping bags. They have a breakfast buffet for 5 $. Please contact us right away if you need a place to stay. The reservations have to be made on the 23rd the latest!!! Transpotation: Let us know how you are travelling, we will pick you up from the Train station, Busterminal, Airport etc. The public transpotation is real convienient in Helsinki, and it is very easy, simple and cheap to use. Please, contact us as soon as possible if you are planning on coming, so we can make the required arrangements.
