FootJam, Switzerland's biggest Footbag Tournament

After the overwhelming success of FootJam 2001 in Zurich, Basel will be the Host City of this year's FootJam.

In corporation with Basel's ultimate Frisbee-club, the motto for this years? event is
"FootJam meets 3Borderscup".

The 3Borderscup is a traditional Frisbee tournament that takes place alternately in one of the 3 countries joining in Basel (France, Germany and Switzerland). The whole program is being planned and carried out as a joint venture, lodging, catering, party etc. will unite the expected amount of about 300 Footbag- and Frisbee players.

The event will start up on Friday night with a welcome barbecue. Check the website for further information about the lodging we can offer you. Saturday will be the net players? day, on six different fields the double- and single net competitions will be carried out, in both beginner and pro levels.
There will be an exhibition game of Thai ball, the Swiss national team will encouter German?s national team. The winners of the pro double net final will be invited to show their skills in an game against the winner of the Thai ball exhibition game ? naturally one set with a net-footbag and the other with a Thai-ball. We also plan to kick off the freestyle Sunday with a sick3-contest on Saturday evening. Of course, we won't go to bed without having partied off big time on the outdoor party specially organised for this event (pray with us for good wheather). And no worries, even though we?re in Switzerland admission is free for everybody.
Sunday is definitely the Freestyle day. The best players from all over Europe will have the chance to show off all their skills. Gents- and ladies freestyle finals will of course be the highlight of the whole event and take place right after the final game of the ultimate Frisbee tournament. We're also very proud to announce the names of the jury members for FootJam 2002. They are: Tu Vu (USA), Maxime Boucoiran(FRA), David Latotzky (GER), Razan Jong (USA) and Reto Zimmermann (Frisbee Freestyler, SWI).

We kindly ask you to use the online registration. It would save us a great amount of work and be a big help for us in the planning of all the details.
