FOOTBAG WORLDWIDE : Anssi Sundberg's Gallery :Shred spot

Shred spot

Building a concrete shred spot.

Shoveling
Taking out the grass and excessive dirt.

Rack
Terrain leveled and a wooden rack built for the cement.

Sand
Sandbox sand the bottom layer for isolation.

Plastic and steel
Plastic mat for isolation and 6mm thick steel rods to strenghten the concrete. The rods are on wooden blocks to keep them above the ground.

More steel
In the corners the steel bars are bent 90 degrees and they are about a hand width from the sides.

Sacrifice
32 panel footbag as a sacrifice, as the masons custom demands.

Mixing cement
Making the cement with a shovel and a wheelbarrel.

Filling the rims
Fill in the cement keeping an eye on the steel rods, so the don't fall of the wood on the plastic. The steel has to be inside the concrete, not under it.

Half way there
Once you've started there can be no breaks so the cement doesn't dry up on you.

Level
Once all the cement is in, it is leveled with a piece of wood.

Shred mat
When the concrete is dry you can put a mat on it and it's ready for shred.
