Welch (Mountain View, California) gave them a serious run for their money before an

Yves Archambault (Montréal, Québec), on the left, graciously accepts
the Mike Marshall Award from "Mr. Hacky Sack", John Stalberger. The
award is presented yearly to the individual who, on the whole, has

leading to the site being chosen for the 1996 World
Footbag Championships in August, 1996. John Stalberger and the late Mike
Marshall co-invented the Hacky Sack® footbag in 1972.
