Just a reminder from Tournament Director Kendall KIC.
Mail your check payable to Sole Purpose Footbag Club & registration form
to 1805 S.E. Marion St., Portland, OR 97202-7351 by Friday, Feb. 3rd to
save $5.00 on your entry to the Heart of Footbag Freestyle Tournament.
Pre-registered competitors to date: Scott & Valeria Davidson, Et &
Constance Constable, Carol Wedemeyer and Julie McClung. I know Tricia,
Mag, Animal, and Kenny will be there. I have heard Rippin Rick Reese,
Three-Peter Irish, Josh Casey, Paul 'Humongous' Munger, Steve Kremer,
Ms. Monti, and the El Cerrito Training Center are entering.
Those of you flying into PDX please zap me your itinerary and I will be
hacking out at the baggage claim (or someone you recognize) when your
flight arrives. I will be at the wheel of a 12 passenger van for those
of you afraid of being stuck in the back of my rusty Toyota truck.
No tell Motels within walking distance of Eagles Hall are:
The Aladdin Motor Inn (503) 246-8241 Single Room 33.95, Double 47.95
King's Row (503) 246-3349 Double 45.00. Room for two w/Hot Tub $80.00

Then there is the Riverside Inn on Front Avenue (by the U.S. Open site)
and if you tell them you are with Sole Purpose, the flat rate (4-5
people) is $60.00 but you need wheels or a ride to the tournament site.
Of course you can resort to Hotel KIC (pls RSVP) and Hotel George, cost
at these establishments is $0.00.
We have Eagles Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
The Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie No. 4 will be preparing
affordable food in the kitchen (competitors will get tickets for garden

Due to the connection of the Heart of Footbag Freestyle with the
American Heart Association, gathering product sponsors for the event
was a breeze. Those energetic enough to raise pledges will be in the
running for some incredibly cool goods (those who place in Beginner,
Intermediate & Mixed Doubles will also reap cool stuff). Want a list?
